This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence 20 whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. (1 John 3:19-20)End of the second day of my 21 day fast.
This was, as I said, the day that recriminations and guilt and relived past bad experiences are the worst in any fast I have ever done. Today was no exception.
It seemed like every problem, every mistake, every hurt done to me or my family came back today to say hello.
It is amazing at how the human mind is able to store up all that negative memory. Satan just likes to put it in to make us discouraged, and can do a bang-up job of it if we let him.
But as the scripture says, God is greater than our hearts. He knows more than we do. We see our own miserable failure of a life and he sees the glory we are capable of and the good we have done many times unaware.
I am glad I am not the judge. I am harsh enough on myself as it is.
I thank you, Father, for the grace you have given me in my life. I thank you for the wife you prepared for me and gave me 40 years ago. And I thank you that in spite of my foolishness I still have her and her love. I pray that your grace and forgiveness and love is shown to more and more, that greater numbers can come into your kingdom. I also pray that you raise up more ministers of that grace to teach and preach and share that grace with others. I praise you for your love and your mercy. Amen.

Be nice. If you are not nice, I will delete your post and cast it into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of posts.
